Founded in 1997 in Naguanagua, Venezuela, Hospital Metropolitano del Norte (HMN) is a premier private health institution spanning 45,000 m² of advanced medical infrastructure. Originally focused on cardiovascular health, it has evolved into a comprehensive center offering a wide array of specialties supported by over 161 medical offices (50 in the main building and 111 in the modern Annex Tower).

The hospital’s capacity and specialized units are distributed as follows:

1. Hospitalization & Recovery (approx. 104+ units)

• Third Floor: 69 private rooms (including 2 suites) and a dedicated 13-room unit for infectious pathologies (COVID-19 area).

• Post-Surgical Unit: 12 private rooms, two featuring private terraces.

• Ambulatory Unit: 5 private rooms and a 5-patient recovery ward for same-day procedures.

2. Critical Care & Emergency (33+ beds)

• Emergency Unit: 20 beds for adults and pediatric patients, including specialized Trauma-Shock and minor surgery rooms.

• Intensive Care (ICU/UCC): A high-tech unit with capacity for 7 simultaneous ICU patients and 6 coronary care cubicles, plus specialized isolation rooms.

3. Surgical & Maternity Suites

• Operating Rooms: 6 high-tech surgical theaters and a recovery area for 7 simultaneous patients.

• Maternity: 2 dedicated delivery rooms and a Neonatal Unit with capacity for 6 newborns plus a standard nursery (reten).

4. Specialized Medical Units

• Imaging & Diagnostics: Digital X-rays, 64-slice CT scans with 3D reconstruction, digital mammography, and bone densitometry.

• Hemodynamics: A dedicated laboratory for cardiovascular interventions.

• Support Services: A full-service Blood Bank with an Apheresis unit and a clinical laboratory (Galeno) offering specialized testing.
